Lala Gonzalez

Lala González born in Medellín, Colombia (April 30,1974) where she currently lives and works. Colombia has always been a source of inspiration, its culture, its folklore, its landscapes, its flowers are reflected in some way in her works, a country that is definitely for her a wonderland. She studied Graphic Design at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (1996) and then drawing and oil painting with the masters Javier Toro and Jaime Carmona in The Fine Arts Academy (2002). Since then her talent and perseverance has enabled her to work in the fields of illustration and art, where she has captured a colourful, magical and NAÏVE art movement style in her work, where she plays with her own images to create scenes of her imagined fairytales. Metaphors and everyday life come together to give life to characters that are straight out of dreams in an almost surreal world.

A NAÏVE artist paints with the soul of a child, spontaneous, there is utopia in their artwork, and there are no colors that can`t be combined or characters or places that cannot be reached with their imagination.
Some of his works are in private collections in countries like Germany, USA, Spain, Mexico, Russia and Colombia.

"Illustration is my passion; it fills my life with happiness. A blank canvas or white piece of paper gives me a wonderful opportunity to express myself and release the many thoughts that come to life with each stroke I make".
