Her abstract work marked expressionist trend does not eliminate complete figuration. In her loose brushstrokes, full of matter and texture, it prevails a sense of timelessness, but Estela choose a working method that intend to go selecting, discarding paths, resources, elements in constant evolution, in a deterritorialization and intense with walk throught the most unknown and intriguing desert.
The Argentinian artist Estela Lagorio is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts. In her early years as a professional, she served as head of the Department of Sculpture at the National Fine Arts School of her city, San Nicolas. After obtaining several mentions in numerous solo and group exhibitions of painting and sculpture in her country, she exhibited her works at Art Basel Miami in Arte Punta, at the Conrad Hotel in Uruguay and in the Biennial Pre Contemporary Art Salerno, Italy. In the city of Buenos Aires, participated in private rooms and group exhibitions as BADA, House Mode, in the Gallery Nights of Dazzler hotels in the Sheraton Cordoba and the Meliá Hotel, where she won the First prize in the contest, that was auctioned to benefit. For her strong commitment to solidarity, she is always called to participate in various charitable projects in the country and the city where she lives. She serves as an active member and founder of movilizarte, a group of artists and promotes artistic expressions.
In August simultaneously she will have a presentation in the Wynwood Arts Distric and at the Savoy Hotel in Buenos Aires with works that are part of a new series that she has been working.
